Praggun City

A thriving city built in the crater of a dead volcano on Harr. Praggun City was founded by Cray Praggun, the notorious human outlaw. Running from the law, Praggun came across Harr and started to build his city, a place without law, where the most wanted criminals would come to hide. Praggun was incredibly intelligent and he quickly realized that law enforcement would eventually find out about his city and come to destroy it, so he concocted an ingenious plan to thwart them. With Harr being centrally located between six solar very busy systems and no rest stop between them, Praggun turned Praggun City into a way station for creatures to get their starships repaired and refueled. Not aware of its founder or his past, businesses flocked to Praggun City. There was a boom in Praggun City as skyscrapers were built and the permanent population swelled.

As time passed, it’s origins fell into myth and Praggun City became a very pleasant place to visit. A large amusement park, located in the center of the city, entertained children and adults from all over the galaxy.

Praggun City was one of the safest cities in the galaxy. There was absolutely no violent crime, and the streets were safe to walk day or night. Events of petty crime were almost nonexistent. Praggun City remained the number one destination for the most horrible villains who needed a place to hide from the law.

Author’s Note:

Praggun City is one of my favorite places in he BSU. It is this shiny, happy golden city in the surface, and underneath it is total chaos and debauchery. While writing Brandon Sparks and the Star Shadow, Brandon needed to get the Star Shadow and that would be impossible unless he stopped off somewhere. This gave me the opportunity to create another layer of back story for the entire series. The introduction of Cray Praggun and his city sets the stage for the events of books 3-6. His importance and that of the city will weave its way through the entire story.

Praggun City filled out the BSU with more creatures. Up until this point, Brandon had only encountered species one at a time, first the Ptevos and then the Lollibrackens. Now he was in a place with several different species and that adds to the atmosphere of the universe these characters live in being large and encompassing many different creatures.
