Sun Shields

Yellow panels emerge from under the hull of the Hidden Sun and completely cover the entire ship like a second skin. Protects the ship from the heat of a star. Laser blasts bounce off of it, but it is susceptible to non-energy weapons.

Author’s Note:

The starship is called the Hidden Sun because it has the ability to hide within a star. In order to differentiate it from other ships, it needed a defensive capacity. Regular shields get worn down by laser blasts, and since lasers are energy, it wouldn’t make sense for regular shields to be able to withstand the energy of a star. I don’t recall why I made them yellow, but I did intentionally make them panels so it would be like the ship was being covered in a second skin. The shields for the Batmobile in Batman Returns come to mind.
