Shield Burner

A quick, highly maneuverable Ptevos starship of diminutive size, specifically designed to disable an adversary’s shields. The Shield Burner is equipped with a long metallic pole with a two pronged spike at the end of it. Electricity flows between the two prongs and any contact with an adversary’s shields diminishes or disables it completely. Shield Burners are completely black and shielded to diminish their appearance on electronic detection devices. They are a powerful weapon in the Ptevos arsenal.

Author’s Note:

Shield Burners were created to fill out the starships under General Zarafat’s command. The original attack on the Hidden Sun was never meant to be a one on one affair. General Zarafat brought some muscle with him.

I liked the idea of a ship that has a singular purpose. I tried to come up with the most effective way to disable a ship’s shields and it was to have one ship sacrifice itself and crash into the other. I didn’t want to do that. So I did the next best thing.
