Larry The Fish Finder

Built in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1983, long before he was given a name, Larry was a Lowrance fish finder. He was purchased by Carl Dark and installed on the Game Over II, a sport fishing boat out of Islamorada. In 1996, Charlie gave this Lowrance unit a spark of life and named him Larry. The two have been friends ever since.

If memory serves me correctly, this was the first joke I created for Brandon Sparks and the Hidden Sun. As boat lovers and people who enjoy fishing, my parents got a good laugh out of Larry the Fish Finder. “Who names a fish finder Larry?”

While Larry is no longer in service, we still chat almost every day. He’s a bit needy.
