V

At some point during his youth, V lived in Brandon’s house.  He has dirty blond hair and blue eyes.

Author’s Note:

After the Ptevos attack the Hidden Sun, V is one of the only adult presences giving the children guidance. As the complete arch of the Brandon Sparks story formed in my head, V’s importance grew.  At first he was just going to be this mysterious figure who has an alliance with Charlie and helps Brandon out of sticky situations. Now his story has grown to the point where his life parallels Brandon’s. They both grew up in the same house, and what V did in the past will play a large role in Brandon’s future.

I had originally named him Q, but changed it because the letter Q did not gel with the character’s overall story. It wouldn’t have made sense, so I changed it to V. You’ll see why. I promise.

Charlie’s Note:

V and I share a great deal of history together. Combative at times, and always distant, V’s intentions where always in the best interest of humanity and of the greater universe. I fault him for taking great risks with not only his own life but with the lives of others (especially with Brandon), but it would be foolish for me to say anything other than that the little boy I watched grow up accomplished great things.
